TRACK GUIDE
Starting in the home straight alongside what is the final fence three circuits later, there is a relatively short run to the first fence which located after the wining post. The runners then take what is quite a tight bend out of the home straight, which begins a descent into the back.
There is quite a decent run on the flat before fence two, the first of two obstacles in the back straight, with these two fences well-spaced out along this section. A gentle incline into the home straight begins at fence three, with the sharp home bend beginning quite quickly after that obstacle.
In total, there are three evenly spread out fences to be jumped in the home straight, with a relatively short run-in on the last lap, where the third of these fences in the home straight is not jumped.
The Grade 1 and Cheltenham Festival victor Holywell heads the list of winning graduates from the Co. Cork venue, which also includes Grade B winner Archie Meade, and Drift Society, a leading timber racing horse in America.

The ground tends to be quite good around Kinsale. It is a track where it suits to be up with the pace, so you need a horse that travels and enjoys being ridden positively.
It tends to suit a well-balanced horse that has a bit of experience, as it is quite up and downhill. It is important to be bang there turning in as they can skip away from you once they straighten up.
